CJ Pony Parts, Inc. is looking for a full-time Desktop Support Specialist to join our growing team Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and ensuring operating functionality of all aspects of CJ Pony Parts end user hardware and software assets. This position requires excellent organization skills and taking initiative to resolve issues when they arise.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Act as the initial onsite point of contact for all technology and system related concerns from end users.
  • Oversee stability and functionality of all onsite printers, mobile RF devices, and individual end user workstations.
  • Responsible for timely responses and corrections of end user workstations, printers, and mobile RF device outages in emergency situations.
  • Install and configure computer systems and applications within the company.
  • Responsible for monthly hardware and software installation/upgrades with minimal disruption to company customers and internal staff members.
  • Research, analyze, test, and recommend system, software, and hardware enhancements for department progression for future company technology planning, upon project assignment.
  • Manage and maintain the company’s IT Asset Inventory System for Las Vegas devices and assets.
  • Develop department goals, strategies, and projects that directly affect general business operations, upon project assignment.
  • Complete assigned short and long-term department projects independently.
  • Utilize department ticketing web tools to research, assign, troubleshoot, and resolve internal staff support concerns.
  • Assign technical support tickets as necessary to the appropriate staff member based on the problem and subject matter.
  • Escalate technical support tickets as necessary to Systems Administrators after proper Desktop Support Troubleshooting does not resolve the problem.
  • Interpret, implement, and enforce department policies and operating procedures.
  • Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage.
  • Oversee technical support on all existing end user workstations, printers, mobile RF devices, and hardware functionality.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum of an associate degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of related experience or a combination of education and experience preferred
  • Specific Skills: Ability to consult with internal customers to understand their IT needs. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment when addressing technology-based emergency situations.
  • Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc.: Active Directory user management and Microsoft 365 account management
