Position Summary:

The Global Market Credit Analyst will be responsible for assessing and managing credit risk associated with the bank's global market activities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial markets, and the ability to make sound credit decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of clients and counterparties through detailed financial analysis.

  • Assess market conditions and their impact on credit risk.

  • Prepare comprehensive credit reports and present findings to senior management.

  • Analyze financial statements, cash flow, and market data to identify potential credit risks.

  • Develop financial models to forecast credit exposure and potential losses.

  • Monitor industry trends and economic indicators to anticipate changes in credit risk.

  • Recommend credit limits and terms to mitigate risk exposure.

  • Work with internal teams to structure transactions that align with the bank's risk appetite.

  • Implement and monitor credit risk management strategies.

  • Monitor the performance of the credit portfolio and report on key metrics.

  • Identify and escalate deteriorating credit situations.

  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and stress tests to ensure credit quality.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files and documentation.

  • Support internal and external audit processes.

  • Work closely with trading desks, relationship managers, and other stakeholders to provide credit risk insights.

  • Communicate effectively with clients and counterparties to gather necessary information.

  • Participate in cross-functional projects to improve credit risk processes and systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, preferably within a global markets context.

  • Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling.

  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and credit products.

  • Experience with risk management software and tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
