KeenLogic is seeking an experienced Installation Technician to work with our team at the United States Agency of International Development in D.C. The ideal candidate will be local to Washington, D.C and will have experience with workstation setup and hardware/software troubleshooting. This is a 30 - 60 day contract with the possibility to extend.  

Qualifications:  

  • Must have ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE 
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen 
  • Bachelor’s and 1+ years’ experience or High School Diploma and 4+ years’ experience

General roles & responsibilities: 

  • Installing monitors 
  • Replacing UPS units 
  • Cable Management  
  • Asset Management 
  • Workstation setup  
  • Software and/or hardware troubleshooting and repair  
  • Printer troubleshooting  
  • Basic network troubleshooting  
  • Inspection and Documentation of equipment       

Required Skills:  

  • Ability to assemble and/or configure Laptops, Desktops, Servers, Switches, Monitors, Printers, and other peripherals.  
  • Experienced with imaging and decommissioning desktops, laptops and mobile devices using standard or custom specifications.  
  • Knowledge on transferring local data from old to new devices securely and efficiently.  
  • Experience documenting all transactions, issues, repairs, and installation activities in real time.  
  • Ability to maintain the integrity of electronic data records.  
  • Experience tracking equipment and inventory using appropriate tools and systems.  
  • Ability to install RAM, hard drive, optical drive, and other hardware components as needed.  
  • Able to successfully follow blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans; feed cables through access holes, plenum spaces, and walls to reach outlets and hardware; then position and terminate cables, wires, and strapping.  
  • Experience performing basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity issues, IP address configurations, and network equipment installations.  
  • Ability to assist in the setup and configuration of wireless networks, access points, and related devices.
