Position Overview

SAIC is in search of a Tier 2 IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) technician to contribute to our operations. The chosen candidate will collaborate with fellow IMAC Technicians to facilitate the delivery, installation, relocation, and modification of end-user IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and other IT-supported peripherals.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform imaging and re-imaging of laptops and desktops.

· Prepare laptops and desktops for user deployment.

· Set up workstations and hardware peripherals at designated locations.

· Retrieve hardware marked as returned or surplus from specified areas.

· Diagnose and troubleshoot IT hardware-related issues.

· Utilize ServiceNOW to identify, isolate, and analyze problems.

· Manage vendor service calls for equipment service and warranty repairs.

· Ensure the accuracy and integrity of IT inventory.

· Assist in organizing vendor pickups for hardware designated for electronic disposal.

· Notify IMAC Lead of recurring issues and patterns in hardware problems.

· Engage with various applications and services to complete onboarding and offboarding tasks.

· Take full responsibility for assigned service requests from initiation to resolution.

· Conduct daily updates of assigned service requests with comprehensive notes.

· Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the IMAC Center.

· Collaborate with other Core IT Teams to ensure timely deployment of end-user hardware.

Qualifications:

Mandatory:

· Eligibility for a Public Trust clearance, with an interim clearance obtained prior to commencement.

· Associate's Degree in a related field and two (2) years of relevant experience, or a High School diploma or GED with four (4) years of relevant experience.

· Experience in imaging enterprise client computers.

· Minimum of 2 years of hands-on IT experience in hardware and software.

· Fundamental understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.

· Ability to collaborate and share information using Microsoft Office applications.

· Experience in managing and maintaining inventory.

Preferred:

· Familiarity with BitLocker.

· Experience deploying software and applications using SCCM.

· Knowledge of modifying existing accounts and objects within Active Directory.

· Understanding of Dell client computers and monitors (break/fix).

· Experience managing service requests using ServiceNOW.

· Knowledge of onboarding and offboarding processes and procedures.

Salary Range: $40,001 - $80,000. This estimate reflects the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not mandate COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be adhered to when work is performed at a customer site.
