About the Opportunity:

As a Payroll Specialist at Vumedi, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll administration, including but not limited to, processing payroll data, verifying timesheets, calculating wages, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. In addition to your core payroll duties, you may assist with accounting tasks to support the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Execute end-to-end payroll processing activities for all employees, including gathering and verifying timesheets, calculating wages, and ensuring accuracy of payroll data.
  • Compliance: Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll regulations to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and company policies.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data in the payroll system, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Benefits Administration: Coordinate payroll deductions for benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits programs.
  • Reporting: Generate and distribute payroll reports as required, including tax filings, wage statements, and other payroll-related documents.
  • Problem Resolution: Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies or issues in a timely and efficient manner, providing exceptional customer service to employees.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in payroll operations, recommending and implementing solutions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in payroll administration or related field, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Rippling), as well as Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex payroll data and identify discrepancies.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining data integrity and compliance.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to a positive work culture.
  • Versatility: Ability to assist with accounting tasks and other responsibilities as needed.
  • Certification: Professional certification in payroll administration (e.g., CPP, FPC) preferred, but not required.
