Johnstone Supply seeks a full time Accounts Payable Specialist at our Birmingham location. We are looking for energetic and dedicated individuals to join our Team. This individual must enjoy multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to work with others in a team-based atmosphere. We offer a competitive salary plus group insurance, vacations, holidays, and a retirement plan. The compensation range will be based on experience in Accounts Payable and the HVAC/R industry. The objective of an AP specialist is to assist with the management of a company’s finance or accounting department.


Accounts Payable Specialist manages outgoing bills and invoices on behalf of the company. Some of the other specific duties associated with this position include:


  • Updating and maintaining records of expenditures
  • Sending out payments
  • Responding to vendor invoices
  • Ensuring that all payments are made in accordance with company policy
  • Ensuring that all payments are sent on time
  • Resolving payment discrepancies and disputes on behalf of the company
