Creative Team Theater Lead-Upper School

Reporting To: Theater Manager/Technical Director

Status: Part-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt, 7-Month, August-February, Variable Hours

Schedule: Eight weeks leading up to three week of main Upper School shows which are scheduled one year in advance. For this school year: September 21-22, November 15-17, 2024, and March 14-16, 2025. The schedule is somewhat self-set, with the three weeks leading up to shows being the most hours. Expected hours are 150 hours for the early fall show and 250 hours for late fall show and spring musical.

Duties and Responsibilities: Part-time Creative Team Theater Lead is responsible for the coordination of volunteers to execute the directors' vision for costumes, props, hair, and makeup for the three main Upper School productions. The Creative Team Theater Lead must be able to manage and lead adult and student volunteers with a positive and collaborative attitude and an educational and community-driven mindset in a Christian school setting. Experience with costuming, props, hair, or makeup a plus, but training is available.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

MENTAL FUNCTIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to compare, analyze, communicate, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile and negotiate.
