Position Overview

The Art Academy of Cincinnati is inviting applications for the role of Adjunct Faculty within the Department of Liberal Arts. This position is part of an open applicant pool aimed at enhancing our educational offerings.

Role Summary:

We are seeking qualified candidates with advanced degrees or substantial experience in fields such as Art History, Creative Writing, Philosophy, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences. The selected candidates will contribute to a dynamic academic environment by teaching courses that align with our curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging course content in accordance with the established syllabus and learning outcomes.
  • Fulfill all instructional responsibilities as outlined in the faculty guidelines.
  • Ensure consistent availability for scheduled contact hours.
  • Conduct weekly office hours to support student engagement.
  • Participate in the Early Alert Process to monitor student performance and attendance.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and submit grades punctually using the designated student information system.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Submission of an official transcript verifying the highest degree attained is required prior to employment commencement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A terminal degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methodologies.
