Summary
Primary responsibility of the Executive Sober Living recovery specialist will be to live in a role that ensures an environment that is safe, comfortable, and secure for our residents
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Teamwork with the following and all other duties and responsibilities assigned.
- Ensure that clients have the items that they need (i.e., towels, linens, hygiene products, etc.),
- Ensure that all residents are properly respecting and maintaining common areas (esp. kitchen, living room, game room).
- Monitor that residents are following house rules including curfew/lights out hours.
- Observe and report any unusual behaviors or potential areas of conflict between residents.
- Observe any unusual activities that may pose a safety or nuisance issue for the clients or neighbors.
- Maintain positive relationships and interactions with all residents using empathy and recovery tools.
- Review Program and House Rules with all new residents and ensure client compliance with house rules.
- Assist and Facilitate House Meetings, Community Meetings, weekend Wrap Ups and Life Skills Groups.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Certified Recovery Specialist License Required
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience
· High School degree or equivalent required,
· 2 plus years of personal sobriety or experience in working with recovering individuals.
· Proficient computer skills with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Savvy.
Knowledge and Skills
· Good time management and problem-solving skills.
· Positive attitude and strengths-based approach to intervention with residents.
· Ability to prioritize and multitask
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
· Ability to work independently or as a team member
· Ability to work with a team
· Ability to handle extremely confidential information in a professional and discreet manner
Language Skills
Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints from referral agencies and those of resident's families. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations within the duties of this position.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to deal with several abstract relationship variables to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions as they relate to TCH settings and residents.
Computer Skills
Uses e-mail to communicate with others internally and externally. May be required to create narratives and simple spreadsheets in Word and Excel.
Other Skills and Abilities
Skills specific to communicating with sober living residents are required. Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically on sensitive subjects.
Medical Screenings
A Physical and Tuberculosis testing, urinalysis drug screening.
Mental Abilities

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit at desk or conference table; and talk or hear when interacting with various individuals and groups. The employee is occasionally required to stand while conversing with various individuals; and walk throughout the Orchards facilities on the campus and to/from vehicles and buildings. The employee occasionally is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel to operate the computer or telephone; may be required to stoop, kneel, or crouch to communicate with residents and to place items in or get items from low drawers or shelves; and taste or smell to make sure that the food and environment are pleasing to residents and their families. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, which is generally office supplies such as reams of paper, files, and forms, and may include furniture and garbage disposal.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to airborne viruses, bacteria, or other bodily pathogens carried by residents. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and fumes or airborne particles when driving from one campus to another or participating in an outdoor resident social activity. The noise level in the work environment can range from quiet while in a private office to loud while driving, attending a large residential social event, or visiting resident common areas where there are televisions and equipment operating, phones ringing, light to heavy traffic, and people talking.
