Main Responsibilities:

  • Follow-up on leads response to inbound calls and e-mails in a timely manner is essential.
  • Generate new leads, close new business. The best leads are often generated independently as a product of research, networking, and other skills. You will be responsible for building & qualifying the sales funnel.
  • Document sales activities to provide accurate status through forecasts and use of our CRM system.
  • Coordinate and communicate with the Sales Director account & territory development plans, strategy, status of activities, and resource needs.
  • Support our Chief of Sales, Sales Director, Inside Sales Managers, and other executives with requirements for quotations, proposals, agreements, and internal communications.
  • Regularly follow up with customers on active programs for maintenance and royalties.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with customers working as the intermediator between customers and CoreAVI’s legal group.
  • Assist in creating RFP responses and quotations in response to customer inquiries.
  • Assist Sales Directors with sales presentations, coordinate demonstrations, organize and deliver technical information in support of customer questions; perform other activities to expedite and complete the sales process to close.
  • Assist Marketing with identifying new feature and demo requests.
  • Work with PMs to manage milestones and pipeline updates as opportunities progress and orders are received. 
  • Track orders from opportunity through to delivery and payment.
  • Other activities that may be assigned from time to time.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 5 to 10+ years experience in major account direct sales (A&D experience required).
  • Experience in embedded systems applications incorporating compute and/or graphics capabilities.
  • Familiarity with leading RTOS providers and embedded ecosystem component technologies is highly desirable.
  • Prior SW/HW engineering or FAE experience a major plus.
  • Demonstrable selling experience to technical evaluators, influencers/recommenders, as well as executive decision makers in engineering and business roles.
  • Must have thorough understanding of how new government and corporate projects are funded (e.g., gov’t program funding, IRAD, product development).
  • Strong qualifying, analytical, and situational analysis skills, and the ability to expedite sales processes are critical factors to success.
  • Experience working in a small & entrepreneurial company environment requiring individual responsibility and initiative.


Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Engineering.
  • Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written, including phone etiquette and “door opening” techniques.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite.
  • Strong presentation skills:
    • Ability to speak clearly & comfortably in groups.
    • Ability to lead & manage technical & business discussions as necessary.
  • Ingrained sense of accountability and ownership.
  • Highly motivated hunter with strong lead generation skills.
