GLAUKOS - Senior Regional Sales Executive

At Glaukos, we are pioneers in the field of Micro-Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS), leading the way in innovative treatments for glaucoma management. Our commitment to advancing patient care is reflected in our groundbreaking products, including the iStent and iStent inject devices.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Regional Sales Executive will be instrumental in achieving quarterly sales targets by engaging with designated ophthalmic surgeons within their region. This role involves training and facilitating the integration of Glaukos technologies, such as the iStent and iDose, into the practices of assigned surgeons. The Senior Executive will also participate in surgical procedures to ensure optimal outcomes for both patients and healthcare providers while maximizing the return on investment for the territory.

Core Duties:
  • Initiate outreach to prospective clients to promote Glaukos products and organize surgical training sessions.
  • Support initial surgical procedures until the surgeon is proficient and confident in performing them independently.
  • Provide ongoing assistance during surgeries to introduce new techniques aimed at enhancing surgical results.
  • Educate office personnel and physicians on identifying and converting patients to Glaukos technologies using the Glaukos Practice System (GPS).
  • Collaborate with surgeons and their teams to ensure proper reimbursement processes for Glaukos products.
  • Participate in targeted events to generate sales leads and maintain existing business relationships.
Qualifications:

Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business or Marketing.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years in medical sales, with at least 3 years in surgical ophthalmology.
  • Experience in ophthalmic pharmaceuticals is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in developing and expanding sales territories.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage with various stakeholders.
  • Experience with customer relationship management software is a plus.
  • Ability to operate within budgetary constraints and adhere to established procedures.
