The PROJECT ANALYST position fulfills an important role on the project team that will assist with performing administrative and programmatic activities in support of the Extreme Environments Life Support Branch Engineering Manager, Engineering Agents, Lead Engineers, Engineers, Logisticians and Technicians that support the Chemical and Biological Defense (CBD), Damage Control & Firefighting (DC/FF), and Anti-terrorism Afloat (ATA) Programs. This will be an onsite position requiring an active secret clearance in Panama City, FL.

The PROJECT ANALYST is responsible for supporting the Extreme Environments Life Support Branch with administration and programmatic activities; assisting managers as directed in all daily tasks; providing technical knowledge where applicable; performing basic back-office project duties; working closely with other members of the project team with—

  1. Performs facilities and building requests using ARCHIBUS tool.
  2. Prepares and performs personnel packages for hiring actions.
  3. Performs requests for employee accounts using EDW tracker.
  4. Reviews a variety of System Authorization Access Requests (SAARs) for content and submits to government Security Manager for follow-on actions.
  5. Prepares and performs a variety of correspondence actions using Department of Navy Correspondence Manual.
  6. Performs a variety of purchase requests.
  7. Uses understanding of PCD organizational structure and personnel roles to assist with a variety of tasks and employee requests.
  8. Assists personnel with travel related questions or concerns as needed.
  9. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  10. Assists with mail distribution across branch.
  11. Must be personable, flexible, and capable of multi-tasking for a variety of office related functions.
  12. Performs other related duties as required.
  13. Collecting data from primary sources, records, or reports to assist in the compilation of parts of project reports and/or to compile reports; analyzing outputs; working with other project team members; and by reviewing data for accuracy and completeness and tabulating data.
  14. Creates visual presentations that depict the data collected and analyzed to clarify project information described in reports and presentations by constructing tables, charts, and graphs; preparing them for publication; interpreting and explaining data in an understandable manner.
  15. Drafts portions of reports to ensure the timely and accurate presentation of project information and recommendations by describing purpose, methods, techniques, documentation of data, conclusions, and implementation.
  16. Facilitating the scheduling, coordination, and presentation of project activities to verify and document project activities by keeping records and calendars; establishing and maintaining tracking systems; assisting with troubleshooting and resolving problems; scheduling, developing agendas for and coordinating meetings; and writing progress reports.
  17. Researching and evaluating problem reports and requests to resolve specific project data and information issues by analyzing problems; identifying the impact of problems or requests; and recommending solutions.
  18. Participating in project meetings by presenting information; providing documents; drafting and editing reports, letters, and other written materials.
  19. Data collection, compilation and analysis, forecasting, assessments, reporting, and other related data-call activities.
  20. Tracking the progress of projects using appropriate project management tools and techniques.
  21. Providing support in the execution of activities for and in monitoring the execution of project work plans; conducting reviews to help ensure that project activities are properly and realistically scheduled, monitored, and reported.
  22. Assisting in writing reports and other project related documentation.
  23. Prepare agendas and take minutes for meetings.
  24. Manage and respond to a variety of correspondence, as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • An Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of Microsoft Office experience.
  • At least two years' experience supporting senior/executive management.

Preferred:

  • Military experience or prior support a plus.
