Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers and Directors with all financial and project oversight tasks, actively enhancing the financial outcomes of specific projects and the overall business unit.
  • Support Directors in financial decision-making processes.
  • Contribute to negotiations concerning project control matters.
  • Identify and highlight potential risks and opportunities within projects.
  • Oversee project execution.
  • Provide financial insights for project planning.
  • Maintain and update project budgets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Drive efforts to optimize project cash flow, revenue, and profit margins in collaboration with Directors.
  • Manage project risk effectively.
  • Conduct monthly project evaluations with Project Managers.
  • Monitor risks and opportunities, ensuring timely implementation of necessary mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all financial components of each project are accurately recorded in the financial system, including forecasts, billing, estimated completion costs, purchase commitments, projected revenue, and cash flow.
  • Verify that all contractual performance obligations are met and that costs are accurately documented upon project completion.
  • Project Accounting:
  • Understand the principles of project cost accounting, including criteria for revenue recognition.
  • Prepare project invoices and manage financial reporting, including site-specific accounting.
  • Ensure the accuracy of project profit and loss statements, cash flow, and monthly/quarterly forecasts.
  • Identify discrepancies and collaborate with Directors to implement corrective measures to meet annual operational targets.
  • Engage in strategic planning discussions and translate outcomes into financial strategies that promote profitable growth.
  • Compliance & Internal Control:
  • Oversee the lifecycle of purchase orders from initiation to completion.
  • Coordinate with the necessary teams for maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
