What are we looking for?

The Technology Business Management (TBM) Specialist will work directly with Office of the CIO government officials and CDC IT project teams to collect information, develop implementation plans, and educate on TBM practices. The Specialist will support TBM maturity across the CDC enterprise.

Fun stuff you will do on the job:

• Develops a Project Management Plan and Roadmap for TBM implementation and maturity.
• Improves CDC's compliance with the TBM Maturity Model.
• Facilitates the implementation of standard Business Object Class (BOC) codes for IT products and services.
• Prepares and shares implementation progress reports, estimates to complete, risks, and issues.
• Supports implementation of the Solution Layer in data gathering and reporting.
• Researches and advises on TBM products, publications, and benchmarks.
• Ensures CDC's compliance with federal government TBM requirements.

This is you:

• Must have or be able to obtain a Public Trust with the US federal government
• At least four years' of experience supporting federal government IT compliance such as TBM, CPIC, and FITARA
• At least one year of experience with TBM implementation within the federal government
• Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Must be well-organized, proactive, and works well in a team-setting
• Skilled in communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences and collaborators

You will wow us even more if you have these skills:

• TBM certification
• Completed TBM training
• Recent experience with CDC environment and standards: SDLC, technical architecture, release processes

Education & Training:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, finance, or related field

Currently due to the remote working status of the federal government, most DRT employees are teleworking from home and leveraging video conferencing along with other virtual productivity tools. Under normal circumstances, most of our positions are required to report onsite. However, DRT has not yet determined when employees will be required to return to their onsite workspaces.
