IT Business Relationship Manager

Optomi, in partnership with a global leader in specialty materials is seeking an experienced IT Business Relationship Manager for their Atlanta, GA location The right candidate will play a critical role in bridging the gap between the business stakeholders and the IT. department as well as acting as a strategic partner to the sustainable and adhesive solutions business. Additionally, this IT Business Relationship Manager will have a strong and proven understanding of both IT and business processes and their interdependencies. This IT Business Relationship Manager will enjoy working in a full-time, direct hire role with extensive growth opportunities

Experience of the right candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT Business Relationship Management or a similar role.
  • Project management experience and proficiency with project management tools.
  • Strong understanding of both IT and business processes and their interdependencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.


Responsibilities of the right candidate:

  • Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand their strategic goals, challenges, and technology needs.
  • Proactively identify opportunities where IT can add value to the business and drive digital transformation.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for IT initiatives that align with the overall business strategy.
  • Prioritize IT projects based on business priorities and ROI analysis.
  • Build strong relationships with key business leaders and serve as their primary point of contact for IT-related matters.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations on technology solutions and innovations.
  • Work closely with business units to gather and document detailed requirements for IT projects and initiatives.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements for the IT team and facilitate the demand intake process.
  • Oversee the execution of IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate change management efforts related to IT projects, helping the organization adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to evaluate and select technology solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of IT solutions and their impact on business outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
