Job Purpose

The Industrial Engineer will plan, direct and coordinate manufacturing processes in the plant. Responding to manufacturing issues, and concern to insure products are produced to specification and in according to manufacturing schedules while maximizing the use of resources. Using critical thinking and applying both creativity and ingenuity to design new production processes.


Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner, so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
  2. You are expected to act in a safe manner at all times and ensure that those around you do not put themselves or others at risk. Safety is everyone's responsibility. At ALL times working safely is a condition of employment.
  3. Management Responsibility Adhere to Responsibilities of Management Positions Guidelines.
  4. Follows and maintains corporate compliance guidelines with respect to the company's intellectual property.
  5. With the use of sound engineering principles, design, install, and troubleshoot process equipment as needed to meet manufacturing schedules.
  6. Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing processes.
  7. Identifies the materials and supplies to be used, designs and builds appropriate fixtures necessary for efficient and cost effective manufacturing.
  8. Manages capital projects, specifies/designs equipment, secures quotations/ procurement, installs equipment and manages financial budgets.
  9. Establishes processes, develops operating procedures and assembly instructions, suitable for ISO certification.
  10. Establishes processes for the handling of discrepant material.
  11. Performs engineering activities in compliance with established company and manufacturing standards.
  12. Estimates production times, staffing requirements and calculates costs for management.
  13. Designs/develops quality control systems to coordinate activities and production to ensure products meet quality standards.
  14. Direct employees assigned to them on a temporary or permanent basis.
  15. This role will require hands-on-work on the production lines.
  16. Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications


  1. BSIE or equivalent from accredited school or university.
  2. Minimum of 3 years practical experience in an Industrial engineering capacity.
  3. Three dimensional cad experience with Solidworks and or ACAD.
  4. Above average computer skills including, Adobe Acrobat and all Microsoft office products.
  5. PLC programming experience along with sound industrial control knowledge.
  6. Read, analyze and interpret common industrial, manufacturing and technical documents, including diagrams, schematics, and drawings.
  7. Be able to professional and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization in both oral and written form.
  8. Experienced in an ISO environment.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions


The environment is a mixture of both office and production environments. Temperatures will usually be comfortable, with adequate lighting and moderate noise levels.



Physical Requirements

  1. Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  2. Prolonged periods of standing/sitting/bending.
