Job Title: Process Engineer I

Join Affiliated Engineers, Inc. as a Process Engineer I and contribute to the development of innovative engineering solutions that positively impact society and advance humankind.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer I to join our team in Chapel Hill. As a Process Engineer I, you will work closely with clients to provide engineering solutions that meet their needs and exceed their expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop P&ID's and create equipment and piping specifications
  • Complete hydraulic sizing and heat transfer calculations
  • Attend design meetings and perform field surveys
  • Analyze process data and propose solutions
  • Facilitate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and field vendor quotations
  • Review vendor submittals and provide technical support
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Non-academic internship or co-op in process engineering
  • Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations preferred
  • EIT certification (passed the FE exam) a plus
