Retail Event Management Trainee

Olympic Marketing Group is one of the fastest growing promotional marketing firms in the Olympia area. We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and passionate team player to become our next Retail Event Management Trainee. Retail Event Management Trainees should be tenacious individuals that are knowledgeable in customer-oriented environments with a drive to continuously develop their skills. Our focus is to create interactive promotional campaigns to create brand awareness by effectively connecting our client’s brands directly to their consumers. We pride ourselves on having a great company culture with a fun-loving, goal-oriented team. We push our people to do their best for the advancement of the firm and themselves.
Our Retail Event Management Trainees are outgoing and have a passion for fun, people, and most importantly, positively interacting with consumers in every capacity. The mission of our Retail Event Management Trainee is to master the daily operations for our promotional campaigns and exposure through in-person promotional campaigns. We strive for continuous education and personal growth so there is always someone to support you, hold you accountable, and assist in achieving your goals. Retail Event Management Trainee Responsibilities:
- Implement promotional campaigns and brand awareness strategies by interacting with the clients’ consumers and personally generate exposure by providing relevant product information
- Attend in-office meetings to remain current on all product knowledge, brand awareness and promotional techniques, and new Business Development goals
- Assist colleague Marketing Representatives and Business Development team in achieving customer acquisition and sales goals
- Engage with customers in a friendly and informational manner
- Attend training seminars on all current promotional campaigns, product knowledge, and compliance to apply it during customer interactions
- Communicate properly and effectively in a professional manner to convey the brand message
- Brand display set-up and tear-down
- Inventory management and forecasting of event sales
Retail Event Management Trainee Requirements:
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Experience in management, leading teams, or working as a supervisor
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers and store personnel
- Strong desire to continue learning and developing professional skill sets
- Outstanding relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and self-driven motivation
- Ability to problem-solve effectively and independently
- Confidence personally speaking to groups and individuals
- Flexible availability to work day, evening, weekends and may include local travel
