Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Nutritionist to join our team and support our pet foods manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Nutrition or a related field, with over 10 years of relevant experience, including substantial experience in the pet food industry. This role will involve developing and optimizing nutritional formulations, ensuring product quality, and contributing to the advancement of our product lines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Nutritional Formulation and Development:
  • Lead the development and optimization of pet food formulations, ensuring they meet nutritional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct research and apply advanced nutritional science to improve product quality and efficacy.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to create innovative products that address specific dietary needs and health concerns.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Ensure that all pet food products meet industry standards, safety regulations, and nutritional guidelines.
  • Monitor and review ingredient quality, sourcing, and supplier compliance to maintain high standards of product integrity.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of current formulations and processes to ensure continued compliance with evolving regulations.
  • Research and Analysis:
  • Stay abreast of the latest scientific research and industry trends in pet nutrition and apply this knowledge to product development.
  • Design and oversee clinical studies and trials to validate the nutritional efficacy and safety of products.
  • Analyze and interpret data to make informed recommendations and support strategic decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with product development, marketing, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment on product goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to resolve formulation issues and address nutritional concerns.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including veterinarians and pet nutrition experts, to gather feedback and improve product offerings.
  • Education and Training:
  • Develop and deliver training programs and educational materials for internal teams and external partners on pet nutrition and product benefits.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and workshops to share knowledge and promote our brand.


Qualifications:


  • Education:
  • PhD in Nutrition, Animal Science, or a related field.


  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in nutrition, with a focus on the pet food industry (preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise in pet food formulation, ingredient analysis, and regulatory compliance.


  • Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of pet nutrition, dietary needs, and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret scientific data and apply it to practical applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
