Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and formulate recipes that comply with AAFCO and state regulations, ensuring they are nutritious and of superior quality.
- Oversee that all recipes adhere to company standards and product specifications.
- Stay informed about the latest technical and scientific advancements in the field of nutrition.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation to support product label compliance, feeding guidelines, and nutritional claims.
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Quality Assurance teams to guarantee that all ingredients fulfill necessary nutritional criteria.
- Provide professional support to the Consumer Service Team in addressing consumer inquiries and feedback.
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to leverage nutritional expertise to enhance product sales.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Animal Nutrition, with a preference for Companion Animal Nutrition.
- In-depth understanding of canine and feline nutrition and related scientific disciplines.
- Proven experience in formulating pet food recipes, including dry, wet, treats, and canned varieties.
- Familiarity with dry food manufacturing processes and operational standards.
- Ability to excel in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
