Position: Transport Specialist

Location: Fairbanks, Alaska

Pay Rate: $18-$21/hour DOE

Schedule flexibility & weekend availability is required for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Transporting vehicles throughout the state of Alaska.
  • Thoroughly inspect vehicles to document any damages.
  • Clean/detail vehicles interiors (remove trash, vacuum, shampoo, clean surfaces & glass)
  • Transport customers and vehicles, operating vehicles safely and legally.
  • Wash/detail vehicle exteriors.
  • Prepare vehicles for rent.
  • Perform basic computer data entry and recording.
  • Follow key-handling procedures to ensure vehicle keys are stored properly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Work as a team with other employees to achieve assigned tasks and business goals.
  • Take and send vehicle photos using a smartphone.
  • Assist in facility maintenance, organization, and cleaning.
  • Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist in training of new employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 5 years driving experience, a current driver’s license, and driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier.
  • Must be able to drive long distances.
  • Must perform the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching, bending, sitting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must provide a copy of driving record.
  • Must be able to work varying shifts and schedules, including weekends.
  • Must be punctual.
  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Must consistently display a positive attitude.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess good problem solving skills.
  • Must possess good basic math skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Must be teachable by being a good listener and willing to continually learn new skills.
  • Must be able to follow a list of instructions and complete them in order.
  • Must be a team player, willing to solve differences cooperatively with other team members.
  • Must own a working smartphone.
  • Must not use tobacco or marijuana products during working hours, on company owned property, or during company sponsored events.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs occasionally.
