Job Responsibility Description

Main Activities

1

Troubleshoots minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement.

Performs preventive building maintenance duties, to include routine plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and various other repairs

Various general tasks as assigned, to include assembling and moving furniture and office equipment, set up and break down of furniture, replacing door knobs/locks, repairs to door closures and/or walls, and painting of interior walls.

Responsible for scheduled or unscheduled and preventive maintenance on grounds, yard, and property in general.

Monitors and replaces light bulbs, air filters, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and other building equipment to ensure compliance with building and city safety requirements.

Assists with a variety of general maintenance repairs, including but not limited to installing or warehouse racks, hanging safety signs, installing shelving and other equipment as needed in offices, warehouses, yards or in or around shop.

Follows all OSHA safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adheres to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.

Performs machine inventory.

Maintains Hazmat / Hazwaste.

Checks in and out machines.

Pickup and delivery of parts.

Load and unload AS NEEDED from trucks.

Intelligently assist other technicians.

Operate forklift and yard mule.

Promptly communicate all safety related issues and concerns.

Purchases supplies, equipment, and materials necessary to complete projects.

Manage all terminal YMS and gate employees.

Formulate training methods and handle training of new gate employees. This includes teaching new employees proper YMS data entry procedure, orienting them in company policies, and integrating them smoothly into company operations.

Develop new work methods and procedures to make YMS data entry and terminal gate staff as efficient and productive as possible. Facilitate the work flow and make it as streamlined as possible.

Standardize and update (when necessary) YMS data entry instructions and systems documentation.

Ensures quality and accuracy of all terminal equipment inventory, gate and data entry work by regularly auditing all data processed by the staff, and implementing checking mechanisms and quality controls.

Supervises day-to-day operations of all data entry work, shifting schedules of staff, task assignments and employee development within the terminal gates.

Coordinates with other departments in other related matters.

Attend organizational meetings and represent the terminal & data entry department in committees and initiatives.
