Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionKnowles Precision Devices, a world leader in highly customized microelectronic component manufacturing is hiring for first and second shift Manufacturing Operators at our Valencia, CA Facility The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for inspecting electronic assemblies, subassemblies, parts, and components for defects by performing the following duties. May be required to conduct a variety of electronic tests on parts to ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine cause of unit failure by performing the following duties.
Key Responsibilities
  • Reads testing schedules, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.
  • Tests functional performance of parts under specified environmental conditions such as temperature change, vibration, pressure, and humidity.
  • Calibrates test instruments according to specifications.
  • Connects unit to test equipment.
  • Reads dials and digital displays that indicate electronic characteristics such as voltage, frequency, distortion, inductance, and capacitance.
  • Compares results with specifications and records test data or plots test results on graph.
  • Analyzes test results on defective units to determine cause of failure.
  • Maintains manual or computerized records of production and inspection data.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay.  The starting salary pay for this role is targeted to be between $17.00 to $20.00

Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company.  It is to be expected that candidates will come to us with different sets of skills and experiences and therefore will be paid at different points in the stated range.  We recognize that the person(s) we select for hire may be less experienced or more experienced than the role as posted; if this is the case, any updates to available salary ranges will be communicated with candidates during the recruitment process.
