Position Summary
Paul Davis Restoration is a national franchise organization that provides property damage emergency services, restoration, and reconstruction services for residential and commercial properties due to water, fire, mold, storm and other disasters. The Paul Davis Network is made up of more than 340 franchises and Company-Owned Operations across the US and Canada, and is one of the largest property restoration companies in the country. The Operations Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of field operations and production across the full life cycle of restoration work, including water/fire/mold mitigation, contents restoration, and property reconstruction. The Operations Manager is responsible for building and leading the mitigation, contents, and reconstruction teams, and ensuring resources are deployed in a timely and effective manner to ensure Paul Davis customers receive the highest and more urgent care possible in property emergency situations. This role requires significant coordination with other functional leaders within the business--as well as vendor partners and subcontractors--to ensure the team is always providing extraordinary care while serving people in their time of need.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage and oversee all aspects of restoration projects from initiation to completion.
  • Coordinate with clients, insurance adjusters, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Supervise and lead a team of restoration technicians, providing training and support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues or concerns.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports and documentation.
  • Implement and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in business development activities, including estimating and bidding on new projects.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to align operational goals with business strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Job Cost Accountant to manage project budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability.
  • Analyze financial data to make informed decisions and improve financial performance.

Operations Managers work with owners and sub-contractors after traumatic events such as a fire or flood to clean up and repair damage to residential and commercial property. As the Operations Manager, you will oversee emergency mitigation, manage the renovation, as well as control and communicate the budget effectively. This means you will spend a good deal of time in the field to see your projects get completed properly.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in restoration, construction, or related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of restoration industry standards and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Certification in water, fire, and mold restoration (IICRC or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid Virginia Class A or B General Contractor's license.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control.
