Position Summary

Concordia University is seeking qualified applicants for a Graduate Assistant position within the Student Success department. This part-time position will be located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and be confirmed enrollees in a Concordia University graduate education program in good academic standing.

The Student Success Graduate Assistant will provide administrative and programming support within our department. The ideal candidate will assist with various administrative tasks, data management, and basic projects. This position requires the candidate to work 20 hours per week. The candidate may be required to work some evenings or weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support in the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) office:

  • Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing events in CAPS.
  • Handle inquiries and provide information to students, faculty, and staff.

Programming Support:

  • Assist with organizing and coordinating events, meetings, and workshops.
  • Maintain accurate records and files, both electronic and paper-based.
  • Support the implementation and evaluation of student success programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various departments and units to promote student success activities.
  • Assist in developing promotional materials and communication strategies.
  • Monitor program budgets and track expenditures.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a graduate program at Concordia University Wisconsin-Ann Arbor.
  • Demonstrated interest in student activities, event planning, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
