OBJECTIVES:

  • Strategic SEO Development: Formulate and implement high-performing SEO strategies to maximize visibility and performance for both clients and the company brand.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of SEO Strategists, SEO Specialists, Content Experts, and Link Building Teams to achieve optimized results.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Design & Fulfillment to ensure that all projects meet deadlines and align with strategic objectives.
  • Operational Planning: Define SEO and link-building requirements, tasks, and resource allocations necessary to execute effective strategies.
  • Strategy Formulation: Develop comprehensive SEO strategies tailored for a variety of business models, including local businesses, nationwide organizations, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Project Management: Oversee and optimize team projects, ensuring thorough tracking and reporting on performance metrics.
  • Link Building Oversight: Ensure the successful planning, execution, and management of link-building campaigns.
  • Client Partnership: Collaborate with Account Managers to develop client-specific strategies aimed at achieving success.
  • Keyword Research: Conduct thorough keyword research that aligns with client business goals and objectives.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Partner with the marketing department to produce and support high-quality marketing content.
  • Web Analytics: Monitor and evaluate web analytics dashboards and reports to inform and recommend strategic SEO initiatives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess and analyze search results and search performance metrics across major search channels to enhance rankings.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Leading and managing diverse teams, including SEO Strategists, Specialists, Content Teams, and Link Building Teams. Strong motivational and team-building skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement long-term SEO strategies that align with business objectives. Capacity for identifying emerging trends and adjusting strategies accordingly.
  • In-depth understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and technical SEO best practices.
  • Proficiency in website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush).
  • Strong ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights. Competence in monitoring and evaluating key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to guide strategy.
  • Exceptional skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on efficiency and meeting deadlines. Capability to define project scope, allocate resources, and manage timelines effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, fulfillment, and account management.
  • High level of Customer Focus and ability to deliver high levels of client satisfaction and understanding client-specific needs. Ability to customize SEO strategies to suit varied business models and industries.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of experience in managing SEO Strategists and Specialists.
  • 10+ years of experience in various SEO roles such as SEO Manager, SEM Manager, and Specialist.
  • Strong understanding of On-site and Off-site SEO processes and reporting for both local and national markets.
  • Expert knowledge in client-side reporting with supporting metrics.
  • Proficient in link building strategies and their execution.
  • Experienced in using SEO tools like Google Analytics, Moz, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Agency Analytics, and Majestic.
  • Skilled in working with CMS platforms and building/administering content, particularly WordPress.
  • Knowledgeable in HTML/CSS and website administration.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experienced in website analysis using various analytics tools, including Google Analytics.
  • Adept in PPC programs and optimizing data for both organic and paid sources.
  • BS/BA degree in a related field is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk or computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
