Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing

The Terraces of Phoenix, a HumanGood community, is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join its Skilled Nursing team.

About the Role:

The Assistant Director of Nursing will assist the Director of Nursing in planning, leading, organizing, and evaluating nursing services that meet the total needs of our residents.

This role will ensure an efficient health facility operation in cooperation with other departments and provide care in accordance with our "Philosophy for Person-Directed Care."

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate actively in clinical staff training and development
  • Assist the Director of Nursing in building and sustaining a world-class nursing team
  • Supervise and make daily rounds with floor nurses to ensure appropriate and necessary resident care is provided at all times
  • Interact with residents and their families, answering their questions and offering support and direction as needed
  • Attend resident review and IDT meetings
Requirements:
  • Current AZ RN license
  • Current CPR Certification
  • BS Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience
  • Minimum of one-year of professional management experience
  • Current or prior Skilled Nursing leadership experience
  • Excellent clinical observation and assessment skills
  • Proficient computer skills necessary to complete documentation, review electronic health records, and communicate with team members
