Recruitment Manager

As a Recruitment Manager at Urban Ed Academy, you will play a pivotal role in building a diverse and exceptional cohort of educators. You will be responsible for developing and executing effective recruitment strategies to identify, attract, and recruit highly qualified Black male teachers for Urban Ed’s Man The Bay Educator Fellowship. Your expertise in talent acquisition and dedication to our mission will be instrumental in achieving our goals.
Recruitment Strategy Development:
- Co-lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive recruitment plan aligned with Urban Ed Academy’s goals.
- Create innovative recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of Black male candidates.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations, schools, and universities to identify potential candidates.
Candidate Sourcing and Screening:
- Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to identify qualified Black male candidates.
- Screen resumes, transcripts, and applications to assess candidate qualifications and fit with Urban Ed Academy’s culture and values.
- Conduct phone and in-person interviews to evaluate candidate potential.
Candidate Selection and Hiring:
- Partner with the Impact & Learning team to develop comprehensive candidate profiles.
- Facilitate the interview process, including scheduling interviews, coordinating connection calls, and providing feedback.
- Extend offers and facilitate insights into network partner pathways
- Manage the onboarding process for new Urban Ed Teaching Fellows
Talent Pipeline Building:
- Develop and implement strategies to build a robust pipeline of Black male teaching candidates.
- Participate in career fairs, job boards, and other recruitment events.
- Leverage social media and other digital platforms to attract candidates.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on recruitment activities and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
- Proven track record of successfully recruiting and hiring diverse talent.
- Strong understanding of talent acquisition best practices and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and other recruitment tools.
- Passion for education and a commitment to Urban Ed Academy’s mission.
