Environmental Coordinator

This role is an office hybrid position and based at our Louisville, KY office.
What the Role Is:
Under the direction of the Director, Environment & Sustainability, the Environmental Coordinator will support and advance Heaven Hill’s Environmental Sustainability Strategy and environmental compliance programs. The Environmental Coordinator will contribute to key activities in measuring performance across Heaven Hill’s four sustainability initiatives: use water more efficiently, drive toward zero carbon emissions, reduce waste, and conserve the ecosystems that support our business. This position will help shape positive environmental impact by ensuring a consistent and accurate approach to data collection and analysis and by assisting the team in preparing for emerging Sustainability regulatory compliance.
How Will You Spend Your Time?
- Compile and validate usage data for key sustainability metrics of water, carbon emissions, waste, and conservation across all global facilities
- Generate periodic reports to track goal accomplishment and performance against environmental targets
- Analyze utility data for accuracy, trends, and anomalies and develop plausibility thresholds for future utility usage
- Aggregate data for customer Sustainability requests and mandatory regulatory disclosures and reporting
- Strengthen company alignment to recognized ESG reporting frameworks
- Ensure compliance with recycled content reporting in applicable states and territories
- Manage third party assurance for annual GHG emissions
- Support development of Heaven Hill’s Scope 3 footprint
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture data and insights for accurate and comprehensive Sustainability reporting
- Track ongoing and emerging sustainability guidelines and regulatory requirements to ensure Heaven Hill’s preparedness and compliance
- Other duties as needed
Who You Are…
- Bachelor’s Degree in sustainability, environmental engineering, environmental studies, natural sciences, or other relevant field of study
- Minimum one year of relevant work experience, preferably in sustainability data analytics or compliance/corporate reporting
- Familiar with GHG accounting and reporting frameworks, including GRI and GHG Protocol
- Strong data management and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Driven self-starter with strong attention to detail
- Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Physical Requirements:
While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
