Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionPosition SummaryInitiate and manage legal processes with tenants who fail to comply with the terms and conditions of leases and other legal agreements. Responsibilities
  • Reviewing arrears reports for all properties in the portfolio and identifying underperforming assets.
  • Developing collection strategies to optimize collections.
  • Coordinate with the legal team on the commencement of the collection process
  • Communicate with outside attorneys on the collection of arrears for current and former tenants.
  • Coordinate with property managers on the collection of outstanding arrears
  • Contact residents regarding outstanding balances
  • Resolve billing issues with residents and coordinate with the accounting department to correct billing errors.
  • Draft and monitor payment plan agreements.
  • Act as a company representative in upholding quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • General knowledge and understanding of the law, legal terms, and Landlord-Tenant Law
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of the Yardi system is very important.
  • Ability to engage in telephone communications in a professional manner.
  • Ability to use and understand Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to write and communicate effectively.


Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education and /or experience Legal or paralegal background preferred.
