Maxwell Mansion in Lake Geneva, WI is looking for one guest service agent to join our 29 person strong team. We are located on 304 S Wells St. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and reliable.

Responsibilities

Guest Service Agent responsibilities include but are not limited to registering guests, managing reservations and providing information about rooms, rates and amenities in an attentive, friendly, efficient, courteous, and fair manner. Guest Service Agents work and coordinate with all departments to ensure a quality and seamless experience for all guests. 

 If you have a knack for customer service and work experience in the hotel industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you are the concierge and face of the property to our guests, creating a pleasant and memorable stay for all guests.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience providing service in a face-to-face setting.
  • Previous hotel or resort front desk or guest services experience is preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of previous Front Office and/or customer service experience.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma is preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in all expected skill sets
  • Must have a valid Wisconsin or Illinois driver’s license
  • Must have or obtain a Wisconsin Bartenders license within 30 days of hire. If you do not have a valid license the company will pay for an online training course and one examination fee. If additional, examinations are required due to failure of the initial examination the employee will be required to pay those fees. The company will pay for renewal fees associated with your existing license, while employed by the company.
  • Proficient with computers, web browsers, Microsoft Office Suite / 365 and email.

Physical requirements:

  • Flexible and long hours required.
  • Medium work-Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand or sit during entire shift.
  • Ability to work indoor and outdoor year-round.
  • Mental requirements:
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must be able to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations, including ability to handle guest objections and disputes to satisfactory results while maintain composure.
  • Must be able to show initiative in job performance and handling problems, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.
  • Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by associates and guests.
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and intermediate arithmetic functions.
