Job Overview: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Insurance Specialist to join our team at the Illinois Hammer Injury Law Firm. As an Insurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in handling insurance claims on behalf of our clients. Your responsibilities will include using insurance websites and phone contact to open insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid claims, contacting insurance companies to gather claim information, ordering police reports and incident reports, preparing and sending letters of representation to corresponding insurance companies, and providing exceptional customer service to clients throughout the case process.
Responsibilities:
- Claim Processing: Utilize insurance websites and phone contact to open insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid claims on behalf of clients, ensuring all necessary information is provided accurately.
- Claim Information Gathering: Contact insurance companies to gather claim information by providing details of the incident, facilitating efficient processing of claims.
- Report Acquisition: Locate and order police reports and/or incident reports from the proper police department, obtaining essential documentation for case management.
- Representation Letters: Prepare and send out letters of representation to corresponding insurance companies with the claim information gathered, establishing our representation on behalf of clients.
- Client Support: Work closely with attorneys and support staff to guide clients through their case, providing an exceptional level of customer service and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with insurance companies and clients.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately process and document claim information.
- Experience in insurance claims processing or related field preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff.
- Proficiency in using insurance websites and phone systems to navigate claim processes.
