Insurance Claims Specialist

At TEKsystems, we're seeking an experienced Insurance Claims Specialist to join our team. As an Insurance Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for providing best-in-class customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and their staff through referral and call management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate patients' insurance benefits and financial assistance opportunities
- Process and monitor prior authorizations to assist patients in starting or continuing therapy
- Collaborate with departments, payors, and providers to determine patients' overall prescription coverage
- Handle patient requests received by phone or electronically and complete related outbound calls
- Work collaboratively with other areas of the Pharmacy to maximize patients' access to care
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in insurance verification and prior authorization
- 3+ years of experience working denials and appeals
- 3+ years of call center experience in a healthcare environment
- Previous experience being held to performance metrics
