Interstate Window & Door Company, a leading manufacturer of vinyl windows and doors located in Pittston PA, has an opening for an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to support our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ supervisory experience in a maintenance setting and an additional three years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic. You should possess excellent troubleshooting skills and have a good working knowledge of pneumatic, electrical and mechanical systems. You will also be expected to possess troubleshooting skills, the ability to plan, manage and ensure timely completion of maintenance projects and the ability to work independent of direct supervision.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance staff.
  • Interface with the production team to maintain peak equipment performance.
  • Develop and ensure adherence to a robust Preventative Maintenance program.
  • Schedule maintenance work to ensure the equipment is operating safely, efficiently, reliably and in keeping with production schedules.
  • Ensure maintenance staff are adequately trained and performing at optimal levels.
  • Schedule maintenance staff to provide appropriate coverage throughout the workday.
  • Troubleshoot and make repairs to equipment as necessary.
  • Direct staff to ensure facility systems- electrical, HVAC, plumbing, vacuum, etc- are operating as intended.
  • Oversee the maintenance inventory and ensure adequate levels of consumable items and equipment parts are on hand.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite and prior experience navigating within and updating a Computerized Management Maintenance System (CMMS).
  • Generate and analyze computerized reports to aid in achieving desired outcomes. Complete maintenance and other company paperwork as necessary.
Requirements:
  • 3 years' experience overseeing maintenance services in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to lead, coach and develop staff so as to ensure optimal output.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
  • Project Management and scheduling skills to ensure all periodic goals and special projects stay on track and are completed timely.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess the ability to effectively relate to production staff, subordinates, peers, vendors and senior management.
