Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide effective leadership and guidance to production staff to achieve maximum efficiency and meet performance objectives.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve manufacturing standards, equipment utilization, and personnel productivity.

    • Ensure the safety of all personnel during the entire shift, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.

  • Production Planning and Control

  • Equipment Maintenance and Sanitation
    • Oversee the maintenance and sanitation of production equipment, including HTST/Pasteurization systems, Fillers, Packaging Line(s), and Batching Systems.
    • Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning within established parameters.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Ensure accurate and timely completion of production and sanitation documentation.
    • Prepare and submit reports on production performance, quality control, and safety metrics.
  • Training and Development
    • Provide leadership and training to production staff on quality policies, food safety, SOPs, compliance, and product/process performance.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Authority and Decision-Making
    • Authorized to stop production immediately and report to QA Manager any environmental, health, and safety, food safety, or quality-related issues.
    • Authorized to shut down the line if there is any environmental, health, and safety, quality, or food safety concern.
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • 5-8 years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
      • 3-5 years of experience in a production supervisory capacity within the food and beverage industry.
      • Post-secondary high school education.
    • Skills and Knowledge
      • Computer literacy in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
      • HACCP trained (preferable).
      • Experience in production and sanitation processes, equipment operations, and troubleshooting.
      • Sound knowledge of SOPs, GMPs, food handling hygiene, and allergens.
    • Training and Certifications
      • HACCP and OPRP training.
      • Shipping and receiving procedures.
      • Equipment sanitation procedures and WHMIS.
      • HTST, Filler, and Capper operations.
      • Batching system operations.
      • Filtec Dud Detector operations.
      • Bottle rinser operations.
      • Torque setting of Capper equipment.
      • Finished product package testing procedures.
      • GMPs, hygienic food handling practices, and allergens.
      • Food defense and facility security.
      • Health and safety awareness training.
      • Lockout procedures.
