Position Summary
The Utility and Maintenance Technician role is a dynamic position that encompasses various responsibilities including site cleanup, equipment operation, and maintenance tasks. This position is essential for ensuring smooth operations within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations set forth by MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and assessments.
  • Maintain personal safety and uphold quality standards in all job aspects.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and maintenance skills, with on-the-job training provided.
  • Support company initiatives and foster team motivation.
  • Learn and comply with MSHA/DEP regulations relevant to assigned tasks.
  • Assist in covering for absent employees as needed.
  • Receive training on various equipment and perform pre-shift inspections.
  • Operate necessary equipment such as water trucks and skid steers for cleanup operations.
  • Ensure cleanliness of plant areas through shoveling and high-pressure washing.
  • Develop skills to perform a variety of operational duties.
  • Inspect assigned areas of the plant and quarry operations.
  • Identify and assist with maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Climb conveyors and ladders at heights up to 100 feet.
  • Establish a personal development plan to advance into a lead role if applicable.
  • Understand and comply with all government regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor towards colleagues, supervisors, and the public.
  • Arrive at the job site prepared to begin work at the scheduled time.
  • Adhere strictly to the safety manual and company policies.
  • Willingness to collaborate in a team environment and assist with various tasks.
