Position Summary
The Maintenance and Utility Technician role is a dynamic position within our operations, encompassing a variety of responsibilities including site cleanup, equipment operation, and maintenance tasks. This role is designed to be adaptable, ensuring operational efficiency across various functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety protocols as mandated by MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
  • Conduct daily safety assessments including workplace examinations and pre-shift inspections.
  • Maintain personal safety and uphold the highest standards of quality in all job aspects, familiarizing oneself with CRH Life Saving Rules.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and maintenance skills, with on-the-job training provided.
  • Support company initiatives and foster team motivation and communication.
  • Learn and apply MSHA/DEP regulations relevant to assigned tasks.
  • Fill in for absent team members as needed.
  • Receive training on various equipment and perform pre-operation inspections.
  • Operate necessary machinery such as water trucks and skid steers for cleanup tasks.
  • Ensure cleanliness of plant areas through manual and high-pressure washing methods.
  • Develop skills to handle diverse operational duties.
  • Conduct inspections of assigned areas within the plant and quarry.
  • Identify and assist with maintenance and repair needs.
  • Climb conveyors and ladders, reaching heights of 80-100 feet.
  • Establish a personal development plan aimed at advancing to a lead role in quarry operations.
  • Comply with all relevant government regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor towards colleagues, supervisors, and clients.
  • Arrive at the job site prepared to commence work at the scheduled time.
  • Adhere strictly to the Pennsy Supply, Inc. Safety Manual and company policies.
  • Willingness to collaborate in a team setting and assist others as required.
