We are seeking a Family Navigation Manager to join our dedicated team. This key role involves leading and supervising the Navigation program, while using strengths-based practices to provide voluntary, comprehensive, coordinated services to families facing instability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Family Navigator Program and Staff
  • Provide Client Services & Case Management
  • Maintain Documentation & Reporting
  • Trainings, Application & Partner Relations

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with clients or families
  • Supervisory leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Proficiency in Spanish or another relevant second language

Essential Duties

Supervision & Staff Management:

  • Provide supervision to Family Navigators and assigned staff, including oversight of data entry, regular review of procedures, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures
  • Participate in Family Connections management team meetings, planning, and decisions.
  • Participate in hiring decisions and coordinate onboarding and training of new Family Navigation staff, in collaboration with the Family Connections Director

Customer Service & Case Work:

  • Provide friendly, welcoming, and professional customer service to families, community members, and collaborating organizations.
  • Assist with client intake, case management, and referrals, including conducting intake screenings and assessments for families seeking homeless prevention support and providing emergency case management efforts as needed.
  • Integrate a 2Generation, whole family approach guided by family voice.
  • Develop effective case plans with families regarding parenting skills, family barriers and challenges, economic stressors, parent/child relationships, and/or community connectedness. Promote protective factors to families to ensure child safety.
  • Follow-up with contacts to assess needs for further referrals and providing resources that may not be available in the community such as financial planning, parenting skills, and communication skills.
  • Review and assign requests from the Info and Family Support email box.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate reports and databases on client demographics and services, and report relevant information such as request numbers, completed sessions, and fund allocation to the supervisor.
  • Use forms to collect demographic and program information, for appropriate documentation of case plans, recommendations, contacts, assessments, family engagement activities, etc. Assist with tracking expenditures/revenues to comply with program budget.

Training & Partner Relations:

  • Participate in local, state, and national meetings and trainings in order to remain current on homelessness, poverty, and related issues. Implement new and ongoing rules and regulations.
  • Act as liaison between internal programs and strategic partner agencies, soliciting their support to obtain/make appropriate referrals to families needing services.
  • Participate in ongoing trainings and be responsible for following Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening & Support and Trauma-Informed Care.

Work Environment

  • A majority of the assigned duties are performed in an office environment.

Requirements:

Education & Language:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field is preferred

Fluent in English; advanced proficiency in Spanish or another relevant language is preferred


Experience:

Minimum of two years of full-time experience working directly with clients or families

At least one year supervisory or team leadership experience


Additional Requirements:

Willingness and ability to work within the established structure of Catholic Charities.

Transportation and valid driver’s license required.



Compensation

  • The salary range for this position is $21.00-$25.00 per hour. Salary is determined based on the applicant’s incoming skills and experience, and the budget at time of hiring.


Position Classification & Schedule

  • Nonexempt
  • Full Time: 40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • Occasional evenings and weekends are required to accommodate family schedules, meetings, and special events.
