Position Summary

Teach online doctoral level interprofessional healthcare studies degree courses focused in research design, methods, theories to include measurement theory, and practices for conducting research. Position requires the individual to have a background with interprofessional healthcare theory and practice and be the content expert in the topics of the course(s) taught which will require presenting material in the department approved online format as well as assessing student performance. The individual will also advise students on their progress in the course and program based upon program expectations, and interact with other program faculty and administrators related to program matters.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Teach online courses in the field of interprofessional healthcare studies with a heavy focus on research theory, methods and practice.

  • Edit courses as required to keep course content current. Facilitate and evaluate student learning in the online environment.

  • Advise students as needed related to progress in the program or courses.

  • Keep program director appraised of any matters related to student progress or course delivery.

Required Education & Experience

  • Doctoral degree in a related healthcare field AND related employment experience in a healthcare field that includes research

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Ability to teach in an online platform.

  • Knowledge of and experience with research content of courses as assigned.

  • Strong communication skills in the virtual environment.

  • Ability to utilize technology and online learning management systems required for teaching.

  • Experience with student performance assessment in the online environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree with experience in research and related professional credentials as well as previous online teaching experience.
