The Center for Genetic Diseases at the Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science is undergoing expansion and invites applications for a full-time, twelve-month tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an extramurally funded research program in the area of genetic diseases including cancer biology. The Center seeks highly motivated and productive individuals with demonstrated incorporation of innovative approaches to study molecular mechanisms of cancer and genetic diseases at the basic science or translational levels. The Center is particularly interested in applications from individuals with expertise in molecular genetics, epigenetics, genomics, animal models, immunology, metabolism, novel target and drug discovery, and single-cell omics. New members of the Center will join a highly successful and collaborative group of investigators. Our university encourages and provides opportunities for collaboration with researchers in other Centers.
The successful applicant will teach in the medical and graduate programs. They are also expected to mentor graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and other trainees and provide institutional service.
Start-up packages and salaries are competitive and commensurate with experience.
