Legan-Human Resources Admisitrative Assistant - Corporate

We are seeking an entry-level Legal/HR Administrative Assistant to join our legal team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in law and is looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional legal environment. The selected candidate will provide essential administrative support and learn the basics of legal processes.

Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Assist the legal and HR team with day-to-day administrative tasks, such as
    managing schedules and organizing meetings.

Document Management:

  • Learn to draft and edit basic legal documents, correspondence, and reports under
    attorney guidance.
  • Organize legal files and ensure proper documentation.
  • Organize employee records and documents

Legal Research:

  • Support legal research efforts for corporate and litigation cases, assisting in
    compiling information for attorneys.

Communication:

  • Interact professionally with clients, legal professionals, employees, and external
    parties.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence.

Court Filings:

  • Gain exposure to preparing and filing basic legal documents with courts and
    regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in monitoring case deadlines and maintaining court calendars.

Billing and Records:

  • Learn to assist in tracking billable hours and preparing basic invoices.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions related to legal matters.

Technology Proficiency:

  • Acquire skills in using legal and HR software and tools for document management,
    time tracking, and case management.

Requirments:

  • coursework in a related field is a plus. No prior professional legal experience is
    required but is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google products.
  • Strong organizational skills.
    Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
  • Confidentiality: Understanding of the confidential nature of legal work.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some college perferred

Compensation: $20.00 per hour
