ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the Property Management team:
    • Facilitate weekly meetings.
    • Ensure completion of rocks.
    • Assist with development and growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish short and long-term goals and processes to ensure scalability of the Property Management portfolio.
  • Manage the budgeting process and budget compliance within the portfolio, working with outside partner, vendors, and the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Align cross-functionally with the Rehab and Disposition departments to forecast property turnover, acquisition, and transition planning.
  • Responsible for operational oversight of property management function, implementing policies and procedures to maximize efficiency and scalability.
  • Assess and monitor community needs, identifying opportunities to improve service delivery methods and procedures and develop new programs.
  • Establish trust and rapport with tenants and investors, balancing the needs of both groups.
  • Liaise between property owners and property management functions.
  • Provide due diligence to protect the client's funds, property, and assets against all reasonably foreseeable contingencies or losses.
  • Remain on the cutting edge of market conditions, trends, and product knowledge in the community and competitive communities, ensuring the same of leasing staff.
  • Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
  • Four to six years of property management experience is required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Extensive knowledge of Fair Housing laws and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of property management, customer service, and leadership principles and processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of data entry, data processing, and communication tools including Microsoft Suite and Google Docs.
  • Proficient in utilizing Rent Manager property management software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A highly motivated individual with a go-getter attitude and the ability to juggle multiple jobs.
  • Strong interpersonal, team building, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work and perform in a fast-paced, growing environment with little supervision.
