Office Assistant

The current primary duty of this role will be spearheading a large project to scan files and engineering documents into an electronic format for better document storage. This position will also act as a switchboard back-up. Ideally the schedule would be 5 days per week working between the hours of 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM in the office. We’re happy to accommodate a flexible schedule to work a projected 18-20 hours per week.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support internal document retention plan by leading a document archival project
- Review document folders in boxes and sort documents, log/track files, scanning, copying, filing
- Create electronic records and storage in accordance with department and company procedures
- Provides updates on project status periodically
- Answering multiline phone system
- Provide general administrative support to our engineering professionals and administrative staff, as needed
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of general administrative experience, willing to train the right candidate with less experience
- Experience with document scanning and archiving a plus
- Ability to use multiline phone system
- HS Diploma (or Equivalent) or College degree
- Professional and courteous demeanor and the ability to speak clearly
- Ability to occasionally lift document storage boxes up to 25-50 pound and bend/stoop as needed
Hourly salary range: $16 - $18 commensurate with experience
