Director of Finance - St. Angela Merici

Reports to: Pastor and School Principal

Position Summary:
The Director of Finance will be responsible for all finance and accounting functions for St. Angela
Merici. The candidate must be professional, dependable, highly organized, and detail oriented.

Primary Responsibilities:

Finance and Accounting
• Oversee all accounting functions to ensure proper systems and controls
• Ensure proper recording of donations
• Coordinate billing, invoicing, and collection of all payments
• Oversee the accounts payable process
• Assist with fundraising activities including compliance with State and Local licensing and
reporting
• Oversee the accounts payable process
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts
• Oversee the monthly close process
• Review of Parish Organization/Ministries financial process
• Preparation of the annual budget and forecasting for the Parish and School
• Preparation of the materials for quarterly Finance Council Meetings
• Preparation and distribution of annual 1099s
• Other duties as needed by the Pastor and Principal

Human Resources
• Process and record payroll
• Track employee leave records
• Maintain personnel files

Skills and Education Requirements:
• Computer proficiency a must, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Experience in QuickBooks accounting software preferred
• Highly organized, detailed oriented person with ability to multi-task
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Committed to the mission of St. Angela Merici and conduct all activities in line with the mission
of the Parish, School and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
