Job Summary:

The Texas Department of Banking is seeking a highly skilled Financial Examiner IV-V Commercial Bank Examiner to join our team. As a key member of our examination team, you will be responsible for conducting examinations of financial institutions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct examinations of financial institutions to assess their compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present examination reports to senior bank management and the Board of Directors.
  • Develop and implement examination plans to ensure effective and efficient examination processes.
  • Collaborate with other examiners and stakeholders to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and industry developments.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or a related field.
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience in the regulation, examination, and analysis of financial institutions.
  • Must be a current or former bank examiner commissioned by the FDIC, Federal Reserve, OCC, Texas Department of Banking, or another approved state banking authority.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Work experience with a financial institution.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English with the ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
