American Baptist Homes of the Midwest (ABHM) is hiring an Accounts Payable (A/P) Lead to join our corporate team based in Eden Prairie, MN.

As an Accounts Payable (A/P) Lead at ABHM, you'll enjoy the best of both worlds: being part of a tight-knit home office team while also working remotely with our communities across six states. In this pivotal role within the organization, you'll oversee the entire accounts payable process, manage general accounting tasks such as fixed assets, credit card processing, vendor maintenance, and 1099s. You'll guide two A/P Specialists and handle crucial accounting responsibilities, while also collaborating with the full accounting team to enhance and streamline processes for ABHM's success.

  • This exempt position offers a hybrid work model, combining remote and in-office work.
  • Pay from $65-70k/year based on experience.
What you will need:
  • Associate Degree in Accounting or equivalent training and experience
  • 4+ years of accounts payable experience
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
  • Prior experience with Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) strongly preferred
  • Papersave or electronic accounts payable system experience preferred
