Role: The Billing/Compliance Specialist is a qualified person appointed by the President/CEO to help administer, direct and coordinate all activities involving the finances and compliance of the company.

Scope of Position: Reports to the President/CEO 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

The appointed Billing/Compliance Specialist for the agency must meet the following qualifications: 

  • Experience with QuickBooks Online 
  • Experience with billing:  Medicaid, VA, VCC, private, including reconciliation 
  • Possess excellent problem solving techniques and abilities 
  • Knowledgeable of the Federal wage and hour and tax laws
  • Communicate in clear, concise language  
  • Software experience with Word, Excel and other applications 
  • Must pass all background screening with satisfactory results  

Major Responsibilities: 

The Billing/Compliance Specialist is responsible for: 

  • Financial Reporting 
  • Invoicing & Reconciliation 
  • Accounts Receivable 
  • Monthly Compliance Reporting 
  • On Call Phone in rotation 
  • Any other duty requested to maintain the operations of the business 

Physical Qualifications: 

  • Able to work an average of 40 hours per week
  • Able to bend, climb, stoop, and stand an average of 5 hours per day
  • Able to lift 20-30 pounds
  • Able to use tools necessary for job
  • Able to communicate effectively

  • Intake conversion 
  • Timely billing & collection reporting 
  • Revenue from service lines 
  • Profitability by service lines 
  • Revenue from business development partnerships 
  • Number of billable hours 
  • Revenue by referral source type 
  • Average revenue per client 
  • Caregivers wages as a percent of revenue 
  • Average revenue per hour 
  • Percent of caregiver wages to client fee 
  • Revenue and billable hours for hourly care 
  • Cost of hiring a caregiver
