Our Compliance Department is looking to hire an Appraisal Desk Coordinator.

ALL REMOTE POSITIONS REQUIRE A DOWNLOAD SPEED OF NO LESS THAN 50 MBPS.

Job Title: Appraisal Desk Coordinator

Reports To: Appraisal Desk Team Lead/ Director of Appraisal Mgmt

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Compliance

Division: Retail

Salary Range: $$45K to $60K

Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day operations related to the appraisal tasks including managing the Appraisal Desk email inbox, appraisal software, appraisal order deadlines and communication pertaining to appraisal orders. Appraisal Desk Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all escalated issues relating to appraisals are handled with swift resolution.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Manage and prioritize caseload of appraisal orders.
  • Maintain workflow efficiency through LOS
  • Order appraisals in compliance with policies and guidelines, investor requirements, and Federal and State regulations
  • Perform initial review of completed appraisals; work directly with appraisers as needed to rectify issues and/or questions
  • Perform analysis and reconciliation of complex appraisal reports and effectively communicate results.
  • Maintain communication with Appraisers regarding appraisal expectations and deadlines.
  • Researching, requesting, and monitoring quotes on complex appraisal assignments
  • Help internal and external staff in tasks associated with the appraisal ordering and management of conditions.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of, adherence to monitor and responsibility for compliance with State and Federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position.
  • Knowledge of investor and agency appraisal requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstration of extensive knowledge and familiarity of residential Real Estate Appraisal Report Forms, terminology and the appropriate application of appraisal valuation techniques, methodology and appraisal theory.
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to analyze documents and resolve issues.
  • Knowledge of mortgage terms and processes.
  • Knowledge of mortgage valuation process.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Education/Experience:

  • Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Two Year Associate Degree or higher preferred.
  • Knowledge of mortgage regulations and laws pertaining to appraisals including Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP), Appraiser Independence Requirements (AIR), etc. a plus.
  • Previous appraisal experience required
  • Preferred experience of Encompass LOS
  • Preferred experience of ValueLink software
