Overview:
The Director of Corporate Training and Development will oversee the training and development initiatives for both Savvy Sliders and Fat Boy's Pizza. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless integration of new employees, the continuous development of current staff, and the operational excellence of new restaurant openings. The Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing training programs that align with the company's strategic goals and values.
Responsibilities:
- New Store Openings:
- Oversee and drive successful new store openings by developing and managing systems and timelines.
- Ensure that all new locations are fully operational and meet company standards from day one.
- Training Program Development:
- Design and implement comprehensive training programs for new and existing employees.
- Develop and update training materials, including operational manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Employee Onboarding and Development:
- Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new employees understand company culture, values, and expectations.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for employees to enhance their skills and career growth.
- Operational Excellence:
- Monitor and assess the implementation of new tools and processes to optimize operational efficiency.
- Ensure the smooth operation of new restaurant openings by developing and managing systems and timelines.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and manage contracts related to New Store Openings, training and development.
- Set up and maintain effective communication channels with all stakeholders.
- Leadership and Coaching:
- Coach and develop store management teams to ensure they are effective leaders and trainers.
- Provide ongoing direction, development, and coaching to ensure all teams meet performance standards.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Implement feedback loops for continuous improvement of training programs and operational processes.
- Develop long-term strategies for sustained operational excellence and scalability.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a training and development role, preferably within the food service or retail industry.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing training programs.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
