DAY TO DAY AS A SYSTEMS ENGINEER - EXPERT LEVEL

Join Mission Intelligence Group as an Expert-Level Systems Engineer and take on a pivotal role in leading engineering teams in the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies. You will drive requirements engineering, solutions engineering, and test activities to ensure accurate and timely GEOINT. Collaborate with government partners to analyze user requirements, propose innovative solutions, and integrate new technologies effectively. Your expertise will guide strategic technical planning, risk management, and performance engineering efforts, shaping the future of geospatial intelligence systems. As part of our team in Springfield, VA, you will oversee and coordinate the work of contractor Systems Engineers at various levels, contributing to excellence and innovation in a customer-focused environment.

The ideal candidate for the Expert-Level Systems Engineer position at Mission Intelligence Group must possess exceptional problem-solving abilities and a track record of innovation in systems engineering. Required Skills and Experience:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific fields
    such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management,
    Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM
    degree program, or related equivalent additional experience.
  • Expert-level experience working in government or industry in relevant work areas including:
    DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or systems engineering of
    large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments residing in
    cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
  • Experience with and strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific fields such as
    Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer
    Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree
    program.
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
  • Software Development Framework certification.
  • INCOSE Expert Systems engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.
  • Licensure as a professional engineer.
  • Membership or leadership participation in any of the following professional organizations:
    • ACSM
    • ASCE
    • ASPRS
    • OGC
    • SAREM
    • USGIF
  • Extensive work experience in the field of geospatial intelligence
  • Experience engineering solutions using Cloud-based technologies, structured and unstructured Big Data, Automation, Augmentation and Artificial Intelligence
    technologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences,
    geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
  • Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience.
  • Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience.
